The Strep A&©|160;Rapid Test Card is a&©|160;rapid test to qualitatively ***ect the presence of Strep A&©|160;antigen in throat swab specimens, providing results within 10 minutes. The test utilizes antibodies specific for whole cell Lancefield Group A&©|160;Streptococcus to selectively ***ect Strep A&©|160;antigen in a&©|160;throat swab specimen.

The Strep A&©|160;Rapid Test Card is a&©|160;qualitative, lateral flow immunoassay for the ***ection of Strep A&©|160;carbohydrate antigen in a&©|160;throat swab. In this test, antibody specific to Strep A&©|160;carbohydrate antigen is coated on the test line region of the card. During testing, the extracted throat swab specimen reacts with an antibody to Strep A&©|160;that is coated onto particles. The mixture migrates up the membrane to react with the antibody to Strep A&©|160;on the membrane and generate a&©|160;red line in the test region. The presence of this red line in the test region indicates a&©|160;positive result, while its absence indicates a&©|160;negative result. To serve as a&©|160;procedural control, a&©|160;red line will always appear in the control region if the test has been performed properly.&©|160;&©|160;If a&©|160;red control line does not appear, the test result is not valid.
